BACII’s purpose is to illuminate the end-of-life while exploring our relationship to our mortality in order to see the truth of how we really wish to live. We do this by creating thought-provoking gatherings that embrace death as a universally shared experience, along with 1-1 supportive services at any stage of health in order to better navigate both the living and dying process. Most importantly, BACII believes we must do this work together -- to build community and heal a disconnected society from the end-of-life.
BACII is influenced by traditional Laotian baci ceremonies performed at gatherings of birth, life, and death. During the ritual, people wish baci, or “blessings,” onto others in an act of true compassion, unity and connection.
BACII values compassion, liberation, creativity, truth, social justice, and empowerment. "

Description from the BACII's "Adventure Through Wood" Zine-making event:
"As we move from Water to the season of Wood, we can utilize the wisdom of nature to better understand the cycles of life. We’ll take a journey inward through a mindfulness practice and express outward through art making as we explore our inner and outer worlds.
Join us on the full moon to root and activate our inner sight and for a free flowing guided art workshop, with the option to create a one page art piece or a mini zine. The adventure is for you to choose, as we find methods for understanding our experiences through the act of creating."
